Babson College Undergraduate Curriculum
The Babson College curriculum breaks down the artificial barriers between disciplines by emphasizing an integrated, holistic approach to learning. The curriculum integrates core competencies, key business disciplines, and the liberal arts into a comprehensive program that provides deep functional knowledge and teaches an entrepreneurial mindest. Babson's core competencies include rhetoric, quantitative analysis, entrepreneurial and creative thinking, global and multicultural perspectives, ethics and social responsibility, leadership and teamwork, and critical and integrative thinking.
These learning outcomes are introduced and reinforced as students progress through the undergraduate curriculum. The first-year curriculum lays the groundwork and allows students to explore opportunities, raising students' abilities to formulate, explore, and reflect critically. In the second year, students expand their knowledge through case studies and real-world experience. Students then use the third and fourth year to elevate their experience through more focused coursework, internships, and education abroad.
Babson College Supplemental Courses and Studies
In addition to the variety of language and liberal arts courses available, Babson students can take a course each semester at one of the other area colleges. Babson is part of a three-college collaboration with Wellesley College and Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, in order to build on the geographic proximity and complementary educational strengths among the three nationally recognized, leading colleges.
